Holmer Becker
Holmer Becker (born January 30, 1955 in Fürth / Middle Franconia ) is a German composer .
Life
Holmer Becker was born in Fürth in 1955. After leaving school, he studied at the Academy for Music in Nuremberg . His composition teacher was Gottfried Müller . In 1986 he received the Talent Prize for Composition from the Theaterverein Fürth e. V.
His oeuvre includes works for solos, choir and orchestra as well as pure orchestral works, soloist concerts, vocal music, chamber music works and compositions for choir a cappella. In addition to numerous radio recordings, there are various CD productions. His works are performed in Germany, England, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, but also in Japan and South America. Holmer Becker's compositions are largely published by the music publisher Edition Brendel , Berg and Nürnberg, and by the Hubertus Nogatz publishing house , Essen.
Holmer Becker has commissioned compositions for Graham Wade, Josef Blank, Norman Weidmann, Monica von Saalfeld, Othmar Müller , Susanna Artzt, the Pegnitzschäfer-Klangkonzepte , the Mittelfränkischer Tonkünstlerverband e. V. and numerous other musicians.
He lives with his wife Angelika near Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate .
