Michael Morgental

Michael Morgental (born 1943 in Neisse , Upper Silesia ) is a German writer and translator.

Life

Morgental studied philosophy , pedagogy and linguistics in Erlangen and Würzburg and then worked in the IT industry. He has been a freelance writer and translator from Japanese and English since 1993. He was editor of the literary magazine Das Senfkorn and is a member of the Japanese PEN. From 1980 Morgental began to publish stories attributable to science fiction and fantasy , which appeared in two collections in 1980 and 1983. In 2000 the novel Yashor: The Shepherd from Harkin was published. Morgental has lived in Fürth since 1953 .
