Holosud
Holosud is the name of an electronics duo from Cologne , consisting of the musicians Jo Zimmermann (alias Schlammpeitziger ) and Felix Höfler (alias FX Randomiz ). Holosud was founded in the late 1990s around the Cologne label and record store A-Musik and can be loosely assigned to the Sound of Cologne , a form of electronic music from Cologne in the 1990s.
In 1997 a first (untitled) EP was released, followed by the album Fijnewas Afpompen in 1998 . Both received good reviews ( intro about the EP: "Experimental electronic music that grooves. [...] The most complex sound collages falter because they are carried away by a rhythmic current. [...] an extreme TripHop EP.", DeBug about the album: "Oh, if everyone were so keen to experiment ... [...] You have to have this album !!!"), the album was licensed and re-released in 1999 by the Polish label "Sound Improvement".
In 2004, the duo directed the music for Stefan Weigl's radio play Stripped. A life in bank statements that was awarded the War Blind Radio Play Prize. In 2006, together with Bernadette La Hengst , Holosud provided the background music for the radio play Die Neue Freundlichkeit by Till Müller-Klug . Holosud also contributed the music for Stefan Weigl's radio play Wait a minute, that will interest you . The radio play won the ARD Online Award and the ARD German Radio Play Prize at the ARD Radio Play Days.
