Monteforte d'Alpone is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9016 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Verona in Veneto . The municipality is located about 23 kilometers east-southeast of Verona and about 25 kilometers southwest of Vicenza in the Val d'Alpone . Monteforte d'Alpone borders the province of Vicenza .
history
In 1207, Monteforte d'Alpone was transferred from the city of Verona to Bishop Adelardo. Eventually the town became part of the Republic of Venice .

The municipality is located a little north of the A4 autostrada , which extends west-east from Turin towards Trieste . The next motorway junction is in Soave / San Bonifacio . The nearest train station on the route from Verona to Venice is also in San Bonifacio.
