Sona is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 17,711 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Verona in Veneto . It is located about 9 kilometers west of Verona , about halfway towards Lake Garda .

Sona is on Strada statale 11 Padana Superiore (SR 11), which runs relatively parallel to the A4 autostrada . The municipality is on the railway line from Brescia to Verona, but has no train station. The next one would be in Verona itself or in Castelnuovo del Garda .
