Ronco all'Adige (German outdated: Runken) is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5956 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Verona in Veneto . The community is located about 22 kilometers southeast of Verona on the Adige (Italian Adige ).

history

With the destruction of a village in the municipality 589 today's place Ronco was founded. Ronco was the ancestral home of the Sambonifacio family , which was of certain importance for the Veronese area in the High Middle Ages. The community was destroyed again when the earth shook in 1117 .

The community lives by growing apples and pears and asparagus.
