Cerea is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 16,693 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Verona in Veneto . The municipality is located about 33 kilometers southeast of Verona in the Veronese lowlands. Cerea borders the provinces of Mantua and Rovigo .
history
From the beginning of the 10th century, Cerea was a fortress. In 1223/1224 Cerea was sacked in the war between Mantua and Venice . Cerea has been known for its furniture industry and manufactories since the 19th century.

Cerea is on the railway line from Verona to Rovigo and from Mantua to Monselice . The Strada Statale 10 (as Strada Regionale 10 Padana Inferiore ) from Milan via Mantua and Legnano to Monselice crosses the municipality.
