Hans Holtorff

Hans Holtorff (born April 23, 1906 in Großenaspe ; † September 26, 1984 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1962 to 1971 he was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

Holtorff first attended elementary and high school and then completed an agricultural training. He worked as a farmer and from 1962 he ran his own farm.

Holtorff has been involved in local politics since 1948, in 1957 he became a member of the district executive of the CDU and in 1958 he was elected to the district council. He was a member of the Chamber of Agriculture and the agricultural advisory board of the district and chairman of the Agricultural Association for Neumünster and the surrounding area. In the state elections in 1962 and 1967, Holtorff was elected in the constituency Segeberg-Nord (22 and 23, respectively) as a direct candidate for the CDU in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament, he was a member of parliament from October 29, 1962 to May 15, 1971. He was under other member of the state parliament committees for displaced persons , public health and in the election review committee. On July 1, 1964, he took part in the fourth Federal Assembly as a substitute member , at which Heinrich Lübke was elected Federal President .

Holtorff was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class in 1971 .
