The Honfleur is under construction RoPax - ferry , which for Brittany Ferries should be used.

General

The ship was commissioned in June 2017 from the Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) with hull number 774. Construction began on March 12, 2018. The keel was laid on August 7, 2018. It is to Honfleur , a French port city at the mouth of the Seine named, and expired on 14 December 2018 from the stack . The ship was originally due to be delivered in June 2019 and will mainly be used between Caen, France and Portsmouth , UK .

Due to financial difficulties at the shipyard, however, the contractual delivery on April 30, 2019 could not be fulfilled. The delivery was later postponed to the end of 2019, the route will continue to be served with Normandy . In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic , delivery has been postponed to 2021. In June 2020 the client terminated the contract.

Furnishing

The Honfleur will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and will be able to carry up to 1680 passengers. Passenger facilities include 261 cabins, two cinemas, restaurants, boutiques and spacious lounges .

There are 2,600 meters of lane available on the vehicle deck . Accordingly, 130 semi-trailers or a combination of 550 passenger vehicles and 64 semi-trailers can be transported.
