Horacio Accavallo
Horacio Accavallo (* 14. October 1934 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is a former Argentine boxer in the flyweight .
Professional career
In 1956 he began his professional career successfully. On March 1, 1966 he boxed against Katsuyoshi Takayama for the world title of the associations WBA and WBC and won by split judge decision. He defended this belt in the same year against Hiroyuki Ebihara and Efren Torres and in the following year against Ebihara in the rematch.
After this victory, Accavallo ended his career and resigned as world champion.
He was named Argentina's Sportsman of the Year 1966.
