Horst Foehr

Horst Föhr (born February 6, 1944 in Cochem ) is a German manager .

Life

After studying law and economics at the Universities of Mainz, Bonn and Cologne, he received his doctorate in 1972 from the University of Bonn.

From 1972 to 1980 he was legal advisor at IG Bergbau und Energie in Bochum and head of the co-determination department. From 1980 to 1991 he was a member of the board of directors of Aral AG in Bochum, responsible for human resources and international business, finance and accounting, controlling and logistics. From 1991 to 1992 he was the board member for human resources and law at TAKRAF AG in Leipzig . From 1992 to December 1994, Föhr was Chief Human Resources Officer at Treuhandanstalt Berlin.

Since May 1, 1995, he has been a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Bahn AG and, as Labor Director, responsible for Human Resources, and since August 1, 1999, also for the Group's legal affairs.

Föhr was dismissed from his post at the supervisory board meeting on December 5, 2001 and changed to the position of spokesman for the management of DB Services GmbH on January 1, 2002 . This subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn had 20,000 employees with a turnover of around € 2 billion. Responsibility for the Group's real estate assets and the infrastructural and technical services of DB were bundled in this company. In 2003 Horst Föhr left DB AG.

From 2003 to May 2015 Horst Föhr was chairman of the supervisory board of Gesobau AG, a state-owned housing association of the State of Berlin with around 40,000 apartments. Horst Föhr advises domestic and foreign companies on personnel and real estate issues.
