Horst Glück (born June 10, 1940 in Reutlingen ; † August 15, 2004 ) was a Baden-Württemberg politician of the FDP / DVP .

Life and work

Horst Glück grew up in Münsingen . After graduating from high school, which he passed in Deggendorf , he studied medicine at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen . He completed his specialist training in Münsingen, Munich and Reutlingen. He was also a senior physician in the reserve in the Bundeswehr. After his training he worked as a surgeon and trauma surgeon.

Luck was in the 1980 local council of Münsingen and 1994 in the Reutlinger elected council. From 1996 until his death in 2004 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In the state elections in 1996 and 2001, he achieved the second highest percentage of votes for the FDP in Baden-Württemberg in the constituency of 61 Hechingen-Münsingen . In the state parliament he was the deputy chairman of the parliamentary group.

Family and private

Horst Glück was married and had three children. He died of complications from cancer. His son Andreas also sat for the FDP in the state parliament from 2011 to 2019, and has been in the European Parliament since 2019 .
