Horst Klauck (born September 30, 1931 ; † before 2004 ) was a German football goalkeeper and national player .

Career

At the age of 18, Klauck was a member of the first team at 1. FC Saarbrücken and played for the International Saarland Cup from 1949 to 1951 . For the 1951/52 season he was integrated with his club in the Oberliga Südwest , in which he played until the end of the 1958/59 season. Klauck was mostly a substitute goalkeeper behind Erwin Strempel and Helmut Maklicza ; nevertheless he was used in 43 point games. He was also used in two games for the DFB-Pokal competition, both of which were lost; the preliminary round match on August 15, 1954 against Altona 93 with 2: 3, the semi-final match on September 21, 1958 against VfB Stuttgart with 1: 4.

National team

He played his only A international match for the Saarland national team , which suffered the highest defeat in Saarland international history on June 5, 1954, 7-1 in a friendly against Uruguay in the Saarbrücken Ludwigsparkstadion . Klauck was substituted on for Ladislav Jirasek during the game . For the B national team, he played the international match on May 1, 1955, which was won 4-2 against the B selection of the Netherlands in Neunkirchen's Ellenfeldstadion .
