Horst Schiesser
Horst Schiesser (* 1930 ) is a German bakery entrepreneur from Berlin .
Until their bankruptcy / insolvency, he owned, among other things, the baked goods company Geschi-Brot Schiesser & Sohn GmbH (bankruptcy proceedings at Ahrensburg District Court 10 N 130/97 canceled after the closing date February 18, 2011) with a large number of subsidiaries and sister companies, for example Cityback GmbH , Schiesser & Sohn GmbH and Eurafood GmbH .
Schiesser became known nationwide when he acquired the highly indebted housing company Neue Heimat , the owner of over 200,000 apartments, for 1 DM in 1986 . After only two months he had to transfer the company back to BGAG , a DGB company. The banks did not want to support his restructuring plans - Neue Heimat was in debt with 17 billion DM.
