Horst Walter Endriss

Horst Walter Endriss (born April 19, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German tax advisor , auditor and author of numerous books on tax law .

He is the holder of the honorary professorship for business administration, in particular external accounting at the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Dresden . Endriss teaches at the tax school Dr. Endriss , Cologne.

Career

After graduating from high school in 1957, Endriss studied business administration at the University of Cologne . Here he joined the Corps Franco Guestphalia . After the exam to graduate in business administration in 1963 promotion followed in 1966 by Dr. rer. pole. ; for the dissertation he received the Mitchell B. Carroll Prize . This was followed by exams to become a tax advisor (1969) and an auditor (1989).

From 1963 to 1969 he worked in the tax consultancy practice Dr. Wolfgang Endriss in Cologne. With his appointment as a tax advisor, he worked as an independent tax advisor from 1969, and from 1989 also as an auditor.

From 1963 he operated the founded by his father in the early 1950s Tax College Dr. H. W. Endriss . In 1975 he took over the management of the technical school. Today it offers nationwide advanced training courses in the fields of business taxation, tax law as well as preparatory courses for the examinations for the certified accountant and the tax advisor exam . Today it is considered the largest special school for advanced training in finance and accounting.

In the mid-seventies, the Federal Association of Accountants and Controllers was founded on his initiative.

He received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon at the end of November 2008 for his personal and economic commitment to sport and regional youth work in his home community as well as his commitment at the TU Dresden since 1993 and in particular his commitment to the professional group of accountants .

Since the winter semester 1992/93 he has held lectures in the main course at the chair for business administration, especially auditing and taxation , and since 2000 also in the basic course. April 1, 1997, he was due to a request by students as Honorary Professor of Business Administration, in particular Financial Accounting appointed . Endriss repeatedly promoted economics teaching. On January 25, 2006, he received the Medal of Honor from the Technical University of Dresden for his commitment. In January 2019, he finished teaching at the university.

Horst Walter Endriss is married and has two children; he lives in the Remagen district of Oberwinter am Rhein . He is considered a passionate chess player .
