Horst paid

Horst Günther Zahlten (born 1922 in Görlitz ; died 1978 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German writer, best known as the author of science fiction - radio plays and science fiction and crime novels.

Life

Paid began to write early on. As a soldier in World War II, he took second place in the literature category of the Artists in the Field competition . After the end of the war, a play by him appeared in the Soviet occupation zone. He later moved to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he published first crime and then science fiction novels in various loan book publishers from the 1950s onwards.

From 1968 he established himself as an author of science fiction radio plays. By 1979, two dozen radio plays had been broadcast by Zahlten, all with one exception on Süddeutscher Rundfunk. The radio play Rückfahrkarte in die Zukunft (1971) was published as a novel by Thienemann in 1976 , the radio play … built to produce happiness (1972) as a story in 1975 in an anthology by the same publisher.

He wrote the script for the episode Die Verrückte (1973) for the television series Ein Fall für Männdli and the episode Producer Seeks Offspring (1975) for the series Under One Roof

In the last years of his life, Zahlten lived in Wildensee in Lower Franconia .
