Horstmann's Schlatt
The Horstmannsche Schlatt is a Schlatt (small body of water) in the Barnstorf - Drentweder Heide in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz . It is located 2 km south of Ridderade , a district of Twistringen , and 2 km east of Drentwede, exactly on the border between Twistringen and the municipality of Barnstorf . In the Schlatt, which is around 220 meters long and a maximum of 140 meters wide, in the western area of which (a maximum of 1 km away) there are 7 smaller ponds, amphibians can be found moor frog , common toad and natterjack toad . Among the special plants are the common pennywort ( Hydrocotyle vulgaris ), a marsh plant, and the wolf trap .
