Hortebrekka is a crevasse- traversed glacier field in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In Hoelfjella it is located on the eastern edge of the Horteriset immediately west of the Weyprecht Mountains .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who named the glacier field based on the name of the Horteriset, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
