Hossein Kaebi (born September 23, 1985 in Ahvaz ) is an Iranian former football player .

Kaebi mostly plays on the right wing, defensively or in midfield, and is considered to be particularly fast and dribbling.

Career

Kaebi began playing soccer with Esteghlal Ahvaz's youth team before joining Fūlād-e Chūzestān ( Persian فولاد خوزستان) and already belonged to the regular formation there at a young age. His greatest success with the club was winning the Iranian championship for the first time in the 2005/2006 season.

Hossein Kaebi is also an outstanding player in Team Melli . He already made a name for himself in the U16 and after the Asian Cup with the U17 was also successful, he was appointed to the Iranian national team for the first time on February 6, 2002 at the age of 16 . Since then he has been a permanent member of the national team , at the 2004 Asian Cup as well as in the successful qualification for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where he also played all three preliminary round matches in his country in Iran's World Cup line-up . At the age of just 22, Kaebi has already played 58 full international matches.

Kaebi moved on February 25, 2008 from Leicester City to Persepolis Tehran , with whom he became Iranian champion on May 17, 2008 .

The appearance with green armbands in an international match against South Korea in Seoul after the Iranian presidential elections was seen in Iran as a sensational partisanship for the opposition.
