The Hostbach is a 3.6 km long orographically left tributary of the Agger in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The brook forms the border between the cities of Meinerzhagen and Gummersbach over a longer stretch .

geography

The stream rises west of Bracht at an altitude of 423  m above sea level. NN on the border between Meinerzhagen and Gummersbach . Initially flowing in predominantly south-westerly directions, the stream forms the border between the two municipalities to the south-west of Sundhellen . With the mouth of the stream coming from Kropplenberg , the course turns to the south and now flows in the area from Gummersbach to Drieberhausen . The Düstermicke coming from the east joins here on the left . The Hostbach then flows again in a south-westerly direction and flows into Grünenthal at 298  m above sea level. NN on the left in the Agger . With a height difference of 125 m, the mean bed slope is 34.7 ‰.
