action

Hostile is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which the earth has been hit by a devastating epidemic and few people have survived this devastating apocalypse.

The young protagonist Juliette is one of them. Every day she struggles for bare survival in search of food and shelter. In addition, eerie, threatening creatures appear at night from which she has to protect herself.

After a car accident in the desert in which Juliette broke her leg, she has to fight against hunger, thirst, pain and one more horror of the night for one night.

reception

“The short interruptions [...] prove that the still young director has mastered his craft. How he sets lighting moods with the red and white of the rear and front headlights of the accident vehicle, moves the camera, cuts at the right moments and selects settings that do not fully reveal his monster for a long time is remarkable. [...] Ultimately, the beauty lies in between Turi's debut as well. "
