Jay Benedict
Jay Benedict (born April 11, 1951 in Burbank , California - April 4, 2020 in London ) was an American actor and voice actor .
Life
Jay Benedict was born in Burbank, California in 1951. The family moved to England during his childhood. There he played in his youth in the theater and made his debut at the age of 11 in the French comedy La bande à Bobo, directed by Tony Saytor , in a small supporting role on the screen. From the mid-1970s he found regular work as an actor and was seen in films such as Winterspelt 1944 and Das tödliche Dreieck . Benedict has since made over 140 film and television productions. In addition to Hollywood productions such as Aliens - The Return and The Dark Knight Rises , he also took part in Spanish films and also worked in French films such as The French Revolution and Suddenly Papa .
With his wife Scolfield he ran a dubbing company. He translated and dubbed several films and video games into English. He lent his voice to video games such as Conflict Desert Storm , Baphomet's Curse: The Sleeping Dragon and Spartan: Total Warrior .
Benedict was married to the casting director Vanessa Pereira. In his second marriage he was married to the actress Phoebe Scholfield until his death . The couple had two sons together. He died on April 4, 2020, a week before his 69th birthday, at the age of 68 of complications from COVID-19 .
