The Hott Peak is a 1550 m high mountain in the shape of a steep-walled mountain ridge with a pointed peak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the eastern part of the Helicopter Mountains in the Saint Johns Range, it rises between Mount James and Mount Mahony .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2007 after Ronald Dale Hott, who worked in ten campaigns between 1998 and 2008 as a helicopter mechanic supporting the work of the United States Antarctic Program in the McMurdo Sound area and in the Antarctic dry valleys .
