How to Destroy Angels (English for " How to destroy angels" ) is an American band that Trent Reznor ( Nine Inch Nails ) founded in 2010 with his wife Mariqueen Maandig Reznor and Atticus Ross . Ross worked with Reznor back in the days of Nine Inch Nails .

The band is named after the single of the same name by the band Coil from 1984, with whose member Peter Christopherson Trent Reznor worked together.

history

After several short videos with sound samples had been published in April 2010, the first song A Drowning was made available to the public for free to listen to on May 4, 2010 on the Pitchfork.com platform. As of May 5th, the track, which was mixed by Alan Moulder , was available as a download single on Amazon.

On May 15, 2010, the first video clip for the song The Space In Between was also published on Pitchfork.com . Since June 1, 2010, the six songs of the EP have been available as DRM- free MP3 files with 320 kbit / s for free download on the band's homepage. The EP has been available on CD since June 6th.

On November 13th, 2012 the EP An omen EP was released digitally and on vinyl. The debut album Welcome oblivion followed on March 1, 2013, which also includes some songs from An omen EP .
