Howard Burnett

Howard Burnett ( Howard McNeal Burnett ; born March 8, 1961 ) is a former Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, he was used in the run-up to the 4-by-400-meter relay . The Jamaican team eventually won silver.

In 1989 he won the Athletics World Cup in Barcelona with the American 4 x 400 meter relay.

The following year he won bronze at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland with the Jamaican relay and bronze over 400 m at the Central America and Caribbean Games in Mexico City.

In 1991 he was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Seville . At the Pan American Games in Havana he was sixth in the individual competition and won bronze with the Jamaican relay. At the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo , he was used in the run-up to the 4-by-400-meter relay and thus contributed to winning the bronze medal for the Jamaican team.
