Howard McCain

Howard McCain (born December 21, 1968 ) is an American director . His best-known works include Lady in White , Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and Outlander .

Life

Howard McCain attended New York University Film School . He had the idea for Outlander back in 1992, and in 1998 he wrote a script that was never sold, but made a name for him as a screenwriter. He then tried to implement the script as an independent film , but failed. It was only in collaboration with Dirk Blackman and Lord of the Rings producer Barrie M. Osborne that the film could be made and was released in 2008.

McCain also worked as a screenwriter in Underworld , the third installment in the Underworld film series.

In addition to directing Outlander, McCain made three lesser-known television films. His next directorial work was North of Danger in 2009 , which tells the story of a 10-year-old boy who wants to free his father from the hands of the Nazis at the North Pole .
