The Jagdbombergeschwader 41 (JaboG 41) was a flying unit of the Air Force based in Husum . It emerged in 1980 from the Light Combat Squadron 41 and was disbanded in 1993.

history

The Jagdbombergeschwader 41 emerged from the Jagdbombergeschwader 35 (1959–1966) and the Light Combat Wing 41 (1966–1980).

The Jagdbombergeschwader 35 was set up in parts from December 1, 1958 in Faßberg and from February 1, 1959 in Nörvenich . On October 1, 1959, the merger at the final Husum Air Base took place . The association received the F-84F "Thunderstreak" as its first aircraft type . With the introduction of the Fiat G.91 , the association was reclassified on January 1, 1966 and renamed the Leichtes Kampfgeschwader 41. Another reclassification took place on October 1, 1980. The light combat wing 41 became the fighter-bomber wing 41. From 1982 the Alpha Jet weapon system replaced the G.91. With the taking of Air Force Structure 4, the squadron was disbanded on March 31, 1993.
