The Griffith Glacier is a short glacier in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It flows in the Queen Maud Mountains immediately north of Mount Russell into the western flank of the Scott Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey map it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Robert C. Howe, photographer of the VX-6 flight squadron in the Deep Freeze operations of the Years 1966 and 1967.
