The Howegrain Beck sometimes also Howe Grain is a river in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Howegrain Beck arises from the confluence of the Bannerdale Beck and Rampsgill Beck south of Lake Ullswater . The river flows north and turns west at the hamlet of Martindale before joining with the Boredale Beck to form Sandwick Beck .
