hr-Klassik was a radio channel of the Hessian Broadcasting Corporation and only broadcast classical music . Started on January 5th, 1998 as hr2plus , in July 2001 it was renamed hr-classic. On September 1, 2005, the program was discontinued for cost reasons and reintegrated into hr2 . Hr- Klassik was comparable to today's BR-Klassik from Bayerischer Rundfunk and MDR Klassik from Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk . The advertising slogan was "hr-classic inspired".
