The radio station started broadcasting on January 5, 1998. On February 5, 2001, the channel was converted into the radio program hr-chronos . As a further development of the first Hessian radio program hr1, hr1 plus supplemented the mother wave and broadcast an informative news program.
hr1 plus program
There was a half-hour information broadcast four times a day from Monday to Friday (at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.), which summarized current events in Hesse and around the world. The ARD correspondent offers, reports and original sounds from other waves of the Hessischer Rundfunk were also found in verbal contributions . In addition, the information offered offered hourly news and short messages at 6:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Between the word information blocks there was catchy, instrumental music for the listeners . At the weekend, hr1plus broadcast programs with a high proportion of words from hr1 , such as the Kulturjournal , the Frankfurter Talk or the Weltzeit . Programs for foreign citizens were also broadcast. These were offered via medium wave frequency from Monday to Friday and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 4:00 p.m. to 10:20 p.m. In addition to these integration programs, hr1 plus also broadcast live important Bundestag and state parliament debates or other central political events such as elections .
