Hreiðar Guðmundsson

Hreiðar Levy Guðmundsson (born November 29, 1980 ) is an Icelandic handball goalkeeper .

The 1.96 meter tall and 110 kilogram goalkeeper initially played for the clubs KA Akureyri and IK Sävehof . Between 2009 and 2011 he was under contract with the German second division team TV Emsdetten . He then joined the Norwegian club Nøtterøy IF. In summer 2014 he returned to KA Akureyri. In 2016 he signed a contract with the Norwegian first division club Halden Topphåndball .

Hreiðar Guðmundsson has played 146 times for the Icelandic national team ; with her he won the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal at the 2010 European Championships in Austria. In summer 2012 he took part in the Olympic Games in London .
