Hubert Bassot

Hubert Bassot (born May 17, 1932 in Paris , † December 13, 1995 in Briouze , Orne ) was a French politician and writer.

Life

Bassot was a member of the Union pour la démocratie française (UDF) and served as a member of the National Assembly between 1978 and 1981 . The year before he had been elected mayor of Tinchebray ( Orne department ).

reception

In addition to his work as a politician, Bassot also made a name for himself as a novelist and essayist . In 1964 he acted as editor for Maurice-Yvan Sicard's Histoire de la collaboration .
