Hubert Haenel

Hubert Haenel (* 20th May 1942 in Pompey , Meurthe-et-Moselle , † 10. August 2015 in Paris ) was a French politician , a deputy in the Haut-Rhin department and member of the conservative party UMP .

biography

Hubert Haenel was President of the Parliamentary Delegation of the European Union . He was a member of the European Convention on Human Rights .

Haenel Juristik with a major in criminology studies and in 1975 with the Master completed. From 1976 to 1986 he was a lecturer at the University of Aix-Marseille III in the subjects of politics and State - and civil law . At that time he was already a member of the State Council. His current profession is maître des requêtes (requette master) in the French State Council , a kind of public prosecutor's function within the government. He was reappointed to this position on September 28, 1986 and every nine years thereafter, most recently on September 26, 2004.

Haenel was also Vice-President of the Alsace Regional Advisory Board and was significantly involved in the development and establishment of the regional rail transport system Transport express régional (TER) (so-called Haenel Commission).
