Hubert Kiecol

Hubert Kiecol (born October 26, 1950 in Bremen- Blumhal) is a German artist. He was a professor at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf .

biography

Kiecol graduated from the Werkkunstschule Hamburg in 1971 and from 1975 the Hamburg University of Fine Arts . In 1984 he received a Mies van der Rohe scholarship and in 1985 an Annemarie and Will Grohmann scholarship . In 1991 he was awarded the Will Grohmann Prize of the Berlin Academy of the Arts . In 1993 he was appointed professor at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . In 2000 he received the Wolfgang Hahn Prize for Contemporary Art from the Society for Modern Art at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

He currently lives and works in Cologne .
