Hubert Klinkel


Hubert Klinkel (born January 5, 1939 in Cochem , Mosel ) is a German medalist and sculptor .
Life
He was born on January 5, 1939 in Cochem . From 1961 to 1966 Hubert Klinkel studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg . He was a master student of Hans Wimmer . He then lived in Bischofsheim an der Rhön , Zell am Main and Oberschwarzach in the southern district of Schweinfurt .
Act
Hubert Klinkel was a teacher at the wood carving school in Bischofsheim an der Rhön . He also worked in ceramics since the 1970s. In 1971 he was an exhibitor at FIDEM (Fédération Internationale des Éditeurs de Médailles) in Cologne and in 1975 in Krakow . In 1977 he received the Bavarian Prize for Sculpture . Hubert Klinkel designed coins for over 30 years. An example of a successful design that was implemented was the 10 DM silver coin of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1990 for the 800th anniversary of the Teutonic Order .
