Hubert Lehn

Hubert Lehn (born July 24, 1922 in Konstanz ; † September 2, 2012 there ) was a German limnologist .

Live and act

After serving in World War II, Hubert Lehn studied zoology in Tübingen; Alfred Kühn was one of his teachers . After his doctorate in 1953, project positions followed and finally a permanent position at the Institute for Research on Lake Constance in the city of Constance; In this function he developed the scientific basis for the construction of the Lake Constance water supply . His main areas of work included phytoplankton and depth measurements of Lake Constance.

Lehn was a member of the board of directors of the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings , from 1979 to 1987 as Vice President, and regularly contributed to its association publications .

Lehn was a member of the Constance City Council and District Council for the CDU . He was married and had six children.
