Hubert Schlafly (born August 14, 1919 in St. Louis , Missouri , † April 20, 2011 in Stamford , Connecticut ) was an American inventor and electrical engineer. Schlafly is considered a co-inventor of the teleprompter .

Life

Schlafly worked as a television technician in the United States. In the 1950s, he and Irving B. Kahn invented the teleprompter. Schlafly and Kahn founded the TelePrompTer Corporation . They later sold the company to the US company Westinghouse . Schlafly was married.
