Hubert "Hubsi" Trenkwalder (born June 29, 1971 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian musician , composer , author and journalist .

Life

In 1989 Hubert Trenkwalder founded the band "Alpl-Buam", which in 1994 was renamed "Die Trenkwalder". The band is one of the classic representatives of "young folk music" in German-speaking countries. The "Trenkwalder" achieved their breakthrough in Germany as guests of the "Funny Musicians Tour", presented by Marianne and Michael in the autumn of 1994. With the cover version of the Oberkrainer hit "Hey, Slavko, play us one" in 1995, a total of 20 Recorded TV appearances in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In 1996, the “Highest Music Festival in Europe”, produced by DITO, Dieter Thomas Heck 's TV production company, followed on the Kaunertal Glacier , which was broadcast on ZDF with the Trenkwalders as hosts . The "Trenkwalder" are now regulars in many relevant TV shows such as "Feste der Volksmusik", " Always again on Sundays " and " ZDF TV Garden ".

Since 2005 Hubert Trenkwalder has hosted the daily program "Hubsis Welt" on the German PayTV broadcaster Gute Laune TV with the focus on "Folk Hits" and changing live guests, including DJ Ötzi , the CubaBoarians, Nik P. , Andreas Gabalier , Stefanie Hertel .

Since 2012 Trenkwalder has designed the weekly “Folk Culture” section for the Tyrolean daily newspaper and moderated the TT hit parade for Radio U1 Tirol . The largest series of hiking events in Austria, the TT-Wandercup, has been moderated by Trenkwalder since 2012.

In 2013 he recorded the album Der Ruf der Berge with the band Montanya , which was released on June 28, 2013.

The Trenkwalder exist since 2014, in addition to Hubsi from the permanent members Hans-Peter "Demibata" Wille (bass), Philipp Haniger (guitar) and Max Kinker (drums).
