The Hudiksvalls Allmänna Bollklubb is a Swedish football club from Hudiksvall . The team played for several years in the second highest division in Sweden .

Hudiksvalls ABK was founded on May 18, 1931 under the name Hudiksvalls Arbetares Bollklubb , but four years later it adopted the name that is still valid today. For a long time the team played in the lower class area of the Swedish league pyramid. Promoted to the third division in 1967, she established herself there in the following years. With the beginning of the 1970s, the club settled in the front division and reached 1974 as the season winner of Division 3 Södra Norrland the promotion round to the second division, but behind IFK Luleå and Falu BS , the team missed promotion. In the following season, the team repeated the relay victory and prevailed before Domsjö IF , Notvikens IK and Enköpings SK .
In the second division Hudiksvalls ABK first played against relegation, but had in the first season four points ahead of the relegation ranks occupied by Ope IF , Domsjö IF and Gefle IF . In the 1977 season, the club reached fourth in the table, the best result in the club's history to date, but could not intervene in the promotion race, since leaders Västerås SK had played out nine points. In the two following years again placed just before the relegation ranks, the club rose in late 1980, beaten with ten points from the second division.
As the season winner, Hudiksvalls ABK missed direct resurgence only in the second round of the relegation games against IFK Västerås . In the following seasons in the middle of the table, the club survived a league reform at the third level in 1986 as third in the table. Until 1993, the team played here in the league midfield before being relegated to the fourth division. After the immediate resurgence, she established herself again in the league. Due to the introduction of the single-track Superettan as the second division after the end of the 1999 season, there was also an increased number of relegated teams in the third division, including Hudiksvalls ABK. In 2005 Hudiksvalls ABK won its fourth division, due to a league reform and the introduction of Division 1 as the new third highest division, there were no promoted. In 2008 the club was relegated to the fifth division, but managed to get promoted again.
