Hugo Feser (born September 17, 1873 in Hamburg ; † January 23, 1958 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Hamburg parliament . He is the father of the Hamburg landscape painter Albert Feser .

Life and politics

Hugo Feser was a trained typesetter and later worked as an administrative officer. He joined the SPD in 1912 and lost his job during the Nazi dictatorship because of his political commitment.

From October 1946 to October 1949 he was in the first freely elected citizenship for his party . He only sat there for that first term. His involvement in the initiative group for the establishment of a civil servants' union was viewed critically in his party. Despite discussions with the leading trade unionist Adolph K Bäumenuss , who is also a member of the citizenry , Feser was involved in founding the new trade union.
