Hugo Hunter
Hugo Jäger (born May 17, 1848 in Warmbrunn , Lower Silesia , † after 1911) was a German cellist .
Act
Jäger was a student of David Popper in Vienna and Friedrich Grützmacher sen. in Dresden. After completing his training, he became a member of the court orchestra of Prince Konstantin zu Hohenzollern in Löwenberg ( Lower Silesia ). After their dissolution he worked as a solo cellist in Ems , Altenburg , Braunschweig and Pavlovsk near St. Petersburg . In 1874 he became a member of the ducal court orchestra in Dessau , where he was the first solo cellist since the death of his predecessor Karl Lübbe in 1888.
