US Open Squash Championships 2017

The 2017 US Open Squash Championships took place October 7-14, 2017 at Drexel University in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2017/18 and belonged to the PSA World Series category . The women's squash tournament was part of the women's PSA World Tour 2017/18 and also belonged to the PSA World Series category .

The defending champions were Mohamed Elshorbagy for the men, who defeated Nick Matthew 3-2 last year , and Camille Serme for the women, who defeated Nour El Tayeb in four sets.

The fields of participants in the men's and women's competitions each consisted of 32 players, eight of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Haley Mendez and Christopher Gordon a starting place in the respective main field.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money for the men and women was 165,000 US dollars each.
