US Open 2005 (Squash)

The 2005 US Open took place November 4-8, 2005 in Boston , Massachusetts , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2005/06 and was endowed with US $ 50,000. It belonged to the category 5 star . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2005/06 and was endowed with $ 24,000. It belonged to the WSA Silver 15 category .

Defending champion in the men's category was Lee Beachill , who also won the tournament for the second time this year. In the final he prevailed against David Palmer with 11: 7, 9:11, 8:11, 11: 1 and 11: 8. Natalie Grinham won the women's title after beating Vicky Botwright in the final 9: 7, 9:10, 9: 3 and 9: 4. Last year's winner Natalie Grainger withdrew her participation shortly before the start due to an injury.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 16 players each, the eight best players were each seeded. Wildcards were not given.
