US Open 2006 (Squash)

The 2006 US Open took place from November 12-16, 2006 in Boston , Massachusetts , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2006/07 and endowed with $ 77,500.

The defending champion was Lee Beachill , who reached the quarter-finals that year. In the final, Grégory Gaultier met Amr Shabana , whom he defeated 11: 5, 7:11, 11: 4 and 11: 9. This was Gaultier's first overall victory at the US Open.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The 16 best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Omar Elborolossy a spot in the main draw.
