FS Investments US Open Squash Championships 2019

The FS Investments US Squash Open Championships 2019 took place October 5-12, 2019 at Drexel University in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , in the United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2019/20 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Platinum category . At the same time, a women's squash tournament of the 2019/20 PSA World Tour took place. It also belonged to the PSA World Tour Platinum category .

Last year's winners were Mohamed Elshorbagy for men and Raneem El Weleily for women. In the men's race, Elshorbagy again reached the final, in which he met the top seed Ali Farag . As in 2017 , Farag prevailed in three sets, he won the game with 11: 4, 11: 7 and 11: 2. In the women's final, Nouran Gohar and Nour El Tayeb met after both had defeated the top seeded Raneem El Weleily and Camille Serme in the semifinals. El Tayeb already had match points in the third set, but Gohar turned the game around in their favor and won the game with 3:11, 8:11, 14:12, 11: 8 and 11: 7.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 48 players each. The eight best male players and the 16 best female players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Andrew Douglas and Spencer Lovejoy in the men's and Sabrina Sobhy and Laila Sedky with the ladies each a spot in the main draw.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 185,500 each.
