Mélissa Alvès (born December 29, 1993 in Kourou , French Guiana ) is a French squash player .

Career

Mélissa Alvès began her professional career in 2018 and has so far won five titles on the PSA World Tour . She reached her highest place in the world rankings with rank 34 in December 2019. With the French national team , she took part in the World Cup in 2018 and, from 2017, in the European Championships . After two second places in 2017 and 2018, she became European champion in 2019 . In 2011 and 2018 she was in the main field of the European Championship. Her best performance was reaching the round of 16 in 2018. In 2020 she was French runner-up .

She studied at the University of Pennsylvania , for which she was also active in college squash.
