Ramit Tandon (born August 21, 1992 in Calcutta ) is an Indian squash player .

Career

Ramit Tandon started his professional career in 2017 and has won four tournaments on the PSA World Tour so far . His highest placing in the world rankings, he reached rank 46 in January 2020. The Indian national team he took in 2013 at the World Cup in part. He was also part of the team at the World Championships in doubles and mixed in 2016 . In doubles he was eliminated from the group stage with Harinder Pal Sandhu . He also started in doubles at the Commonwealth Games 2018 and reached the quarter-finals with Vikram Malhotra . At the Asian Games in 2018 he won the bronze medal with the team .

Tandon graduated from Columbia University with a degree in statistics in 2014 . At the same time he was active in college squash. After completing his studies, he worked in the financial sector in New York City for two years , playing squash tournaments on the side. Since September 2017, four months after his first tournament victory on the World Tour, he has been playing on the tour as a full professional.
