Hugo Maiocco

Hugo Maiocco (born April 5, 1927 ) is a retired American sprinter and middle distance runner .

In 1951, at the Pan American Games in Mexico City, he won silver over 400 m , bronze over 800 m and won the 4-by-400-meter relay with the US team .

In 1950 and 1951 he was US indoor champion over 600 yards . He set his personal best over 440 yards of 47.3 s (equivalent to 47.0 s over 400 m) on May 27, 1950 in New York City .
