Hugo Pilo , full name Hugo Adrián Pilo Burgos , (born June 8, 1976 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player and current coach.

Career

Player activity

Defensive player Pilo was at the beginning of his career from 1987 to the end of 1992 of the reserve team (Formativas) of Club Atlético Defensor / Defensor Sporting . In the following two years he was initially active in the second agency for Liverpool Montevideo . From 1995 to the end of 1997 he then played for the professional team of the Montevideans. During the first six months of 1998, Club Atlético Progreso was his employer. In the second half of the year, Pilo stood in ranks of Centro Atlético Fénix . In early 1999 he moved to Uruguay Montevideo FC , where he stayed until the end of 2004. Pilo then returned to Progreso and left the club in mid-2006 in favor of the amateur Wanderers club from Santa Lucía . The Racing Club de Montevideo signed him for the 2007/08 season . From mid-2008, another career station followed at Wanderers, which lasted until the end of 2010. In the first half of 2011, Durazno FC will be the last club in his playing career .

Coaching career

After his active career, Pilo started a coaching career. In the 2011/12 season he coached the Uruguay Montevideo FC team. He was then from the beginning of 2013 to the end of June that year sports coordinator at Club Atlético Torque , but then switched to the coaching position of the professional team in the Segunda División , which he held until the end of the year. In February 2014 he was briefly responsible trainer at Institución Atlética Potencia for a period of just under four weeks . At the beginning of June 2014 he was responsible for training management at his former Wanderers club until the end of the year . In the first six months of the following year, the Club Atlético Progreso employed him as a youth coach. From September 8, 2015 until the end of the 2015/16 season, he worked as an assistant coach at the Rampla Juniors . At the beginning of July 2016, Progreso engaged him again, this time in the role of an assistant coach. The engagement ended on October 11, 2016.
